Life draw in winter is not a very clever idea. Freezing cold and limited sunshine and the danger of rain (ANY time). With a shaking hand, I managed to keep all those strings straight…at least…Ended it before finish, TOO many strings…..

Experimental Animation – Stormen

Stormen is an experimental animation. I made it back in  2008 when I was an MA Animation student. In this project, I tried to combine character and movement together, and draw “speed”.  Instead of using clear lines to draw the character, I chose to sketch them.  Every time the character moves, the movement would make his shape change. All characters in animation are no longer still pictures after they’re put together on a timeline. I found using this method made the movement  more powerful and interesting. ‘Stormen’ is a project I’m truly interested in, and would definitely do more with him, perhaps have more characters and colours.
